Brass polishing

Brass is an alloy of copper, zinc and other components. For instance: ferrimanganese, aluminum-nickel-silicon-manganese brasses and etc. Brass is applied in manufacturing of semi-finished products (sheets, tapes, strips and etc.), medals and badges, sliding bearings, art works and etc. Zinc as an alloying element of brass is cheaper than copper. The more zinc brass contain, the cheaper it becomes. Brass containing up to 10% zinc is gold in colour and is used for the manufacture of jewellery.

Performance of brass electrolyte-plasma treatment and polishing:

Recommended processing time for brass polishing — 180 sec.

Grinding and deburring speed — 25 sec.

Average time to reduce the roughness value by 1 class — 75 sec.

The number of polishing cycles before changing the electrolyte — 60.
